Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Coordinator to join our team in our Cataract and Lasik Center of Utah (Ophthalmology ASC). The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgery center, contributing to a positive experience for all patients.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Completes the appropriate check in process for each surgical patient.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Collect all payments due from patients at check in process.

Experience

Previous experience as a ASC Surgical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical clinic or center is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes is advantageous.
Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
Experience with electronic health record systems or is capable of learning computer software systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
