Full Job Description

Part Time (full time after 6 months)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Office Manager facilitates the efficient operation of the Front Desk Reception by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
Assists patients with appointments or referring to the correct department.
Welcomes and directs patients and visitors.
Verifies insurance using EMR.
Processes referrals, pre-certifications and prior authorizations for procedures
Oversees the admin staff
Faxes POC to referring physicians.
Requests updated scripts from physicians.
Communicates with clinical staff for refill requests, lab results, lab/test orders, etc.
Maintain a high level of professionalism with patients, working to establish a positive rapport

with each one.

Respond promptly to patient inquiries.
Adheres to policies and procedures regarding daily operations and practice staff.
Performs other tasks assigned by operational leadership as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years of experience in an administrative role.
Experience in using EMR
Experience in answering phones.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Acts in an enthusiastic, courteous, and professional manner.
Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
Ability to empathize with patients at all times.
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MUST be reliable and have open availibilty

Part-time $20-$24

DESCRIBE OFFICE/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office setting with adequate workspace, lighting, ventilation, and comfortable temperatures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequent talking on the phone and in person.
May occasionally be required to lift packages and/or office supplies, up to 15 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week

Night Shift (Required)
Day Shift (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
