Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including memory care, home care, and critical care environments. The LPN will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients and support their recovery process. Millenia Medical Staffing is a Joint Commission Certified Company, has Nationwide openings for Licensed Practical Nurses to work with our Government and Correctional Facilities. Responsibilities and duties are (but not limited to): proven successful interactions with correctional patients; positive attitude; strong work ethic; excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. Must be able to work collaboratively with staff to implement care coordination programs.
Minimum Qualifications of the LPN
Currently registered LPN with a compact or single state license. Minimum of 1 years recent, direct patient care and medical record documentation. Clients prefer recent Correctional experience.
Special consideration given for past experience in federal facilities such as VAMC, Indian Health Services, Federal Bureau of Prisons, ICE, DOD or other Federal Agencies

One to Three Month contracts
36 to 48 hour schedule per week

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform IV insertion and manage acute pain management protocols as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in training programs related to coding, sonography, and critical care practices.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in memory care, home care, or critical care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and acute pain management strategies.
- Familiarity with coding systems relevant to patient care documentation is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
- Basic understanding of sonography principles is advantageous but not required.
