The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for auditing and inspecting foam products to verify conformance with established company specifications and customer quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
- Inspect foam materials and determine conformance to established specifications and quality standards using appropriate measuring tools.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, including the collection of supporting data and photographs.
- Investigate and verify internal and external quality complaints.
- Conduct audits of work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Support ongoing training initiatives that promote quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Serve as a role model for quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Assist in developing visual work aids to improve product identification, packaging accuracy, and quality consistency.
- Follow all 5S, safety, and company policies and procedures.
- Meet productivity expectations by completing work accurately and efficiently.
- Cut and prepare foam samples for laboratory testing and evaluation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of quality control experience and/or related training preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience working with SAP is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn and utilize various software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and support problem-solving efforts.
Education / Certifications:
- High School Diploma and/ or equivalent required

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required while performing job duties, including safety glasses on the production floor and hearing protection in designated areas.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment and airborne particles commonly found in a manufacturing environment.
- Routinely exposed to noise levels ranging from low to moderate, with hearing protection required in designated areas.
- Work may be performed in varying temperature conditions, ranging from normal indoor temperatures to occasionally elevated temperatures depending on the season, facility conditions, and work location.
