What We’re Looking For
We need an experienced **Senior .NET Architect Consultant (AI-Forward)** who delivers modern cloud solutions and can incorporate Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic workflows into real customer environments. This role is a corp-to-corp, 1099 capacity. If you enjoy autonomy, are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions, and have a track record of working independently—while leveraging AI tools to 10x outcomes—we’d love to talk.
Key Requirements
- 15+ Years of .NET Experience
- Expert at designing and building complex .NET solutions (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, messaging, microservices, event-driven architectures).
- Strong architectural patterns knowledge and hands-on with modern .NET frameworks.
Azure Expertise
- Hands-on with Azure PaaS/IaaS (App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Key Vault, Storage).
- Comfortable with cloud-native architectures, DevOps pipelines, IaC, and observability.
AI-Forward Engineering
- Daily practitioner with AI coding tools and agents: **Claude Code**, **OpenAI Codex CLI**, and similar IDE copilots.
- Strong in prompt design and instruction strategy; able to translate business goals into structured prompts, tools, and context.
- LLM integration across **OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/Anthropic** (model selection, function/tool calling, JSON schema/structured outputs, streaming).
- Retrieval and context: embeddings, vector stores (Azure AI Search, pgvector, Pinecone or equivalent), RAG patterns, prompt/session caching.
- Agentic workflows: orchestrate background/queue-driven agents, sub-agent decomposition, human-in-the-loop reviews, and automated evals.
- Safety & compliance: PII/PHI redaction, guardrails/moderation, data residency, secrets management (Key Vault), and HIPAA alignment.
- Measurement & cost: tracing, latency/throughput tradeoffs, token/cost visibility, model/version pinning and fallbacks.
Healthcare/Pharmacy Domain (Preferred)
- Prior experience in healthcare or pharmacy projects is highly desired.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PHI handling) is a plus.
Power Platform & Dynamics CRM (great to have - immediate top of list)
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CRM customization and integrations.

What You’ll Do
- Architect & Design: Lead .NET architectures in Azure; define solution boundaries, interfaces, and quality attributes.
- AI Integration: Design and implement AI-powered features—prompt/response flows, tool calling, RAG, agents, and human-in-the-loop reviews.
- Solution Delivery: Contribute hands-on and/or guide teams; ensure code quality, security, and operational readiness.
- Evaluate & Govern: Establish model/feature evals, latency/cost budgets, telemetry/observability, and safety/guardrails.
- Client Engagement: Translate business needs into pragmatic roadmaps; present trade-offs across model choices, cost, and performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Track model and platform updates; evolve architectures as capabilities improve (context windows, reasoning, tool use).
Preferred Tech & Tooling
- .NET 8+, C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure Functions, AKS/Containers, gRPC/Web APIs, Async messaging (Service Bus/Event Grid)
- Azure DevOps/GitHub, CI/CD, Terraform/Bicep, Application Insights/OpenTelemetry, Key Vault
- LLM platforms: Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic; vector stores: Azure AI Search, pgvector/Pinecone (or similar)
- Orchestration: Semantic Kernel, LangChain.NET (or equivalent patterns)
- Agentic tooling & IDEs: **Claude Code**, **OpenAI Codex CLI**, GitHub Copilot/Cursor (or similar)
