Full Job Description

The Managing Partner of the Institute for Higher Learning in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking a Family Assistant. Candidate must be able to work in collaboration with Managing Partner’s full-time Personal Assistant, Personal Secretary, nannies and housekeeping team. Candidate must also love working with children, and be comfortable around pets.

Candidate should be calm under pressure, proactive, and capable of thinking on their feet in an active and fast-paced environment. Maintaining confidentiality is a fundamental requirement of this role, as is anticipating the needs of the family and home.

This position demands competence and skill at performing the following duties:

Running errands, purchasing groceries and maintaining household inventory.
Providing transportation for family/children as necessary. A clean driving record, valid license, and reliable vehicle are required.
Home organization projects.
Comfortable in the kitchen; able to meal prep as needed.
Assist children with homework assignments and projects (elementary/middle school age).
Enjoy spending time with children and toddlers, organizing activities, playing games, etc.
Problem solving and “get it done” attitude. Very “hands-on” and ready to pitch in.
Very resourceful, quickly learns the how and where to get things done.
Providing support in any capacity as necessary.

Schedule will be three to four weekdays from 4:00-10:00pm and one weekend day from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Pay will be $20 to $22 per hour

College degree is preferred.

Candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and must be able to work around animals.
