Full Job Description

Jiang Yi Sheng Head Spa is a newly opened head spa in Novi, Michigan. We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Licensed Cosmetologist to join our team as a Head Spa Technician.

This is a hands-on service position, not a management role. Paid training on our head spa procedures, equipment, and service standards will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Provide professional shampooing, conditioning, scalp cleansing, relaxation-focused scalp care, and basic blow-dry services.
Communicate clearly and professionally in English with clients regarding their preferences, sensitivities, comfort, water temperature, and service experience.
Follow company procedures and maintain consistent service quality.
Observe the client’s scalp and hair before service. Stop the service and notify management if irritation, open wounds, signs of infection, or other concerns are present.
Maintain strict sanitation and disinfection standards for tools, equipment, linens, service beds, and workstations.
Prepare service rooms and products before appointments and clean the area after every client.
Complete service notes and customer handoffs accurately.
Work cooperatively with the front desk and other technicians to maintain smooth appointment flow.
Provide a warm, professional, and relaxing customer experience.
Follow all safety, attendance, privacy, and customer-service policies.

Qualifications:

Active Michigan Cosmetologist License is required.
Professional experience with shampooing, hair care, scalp cleansing, salon services, or similar spa services is required.
Previous head spa experience is preferred, but paid training will be provided.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English throughout the customer’s visit.
Strong customer-service skills, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
Availability for some evenings and weekends is preferred.
