Supply Chain Manager - THIS POSITION DOES NOT OFFER A RELOCATION PACKAGE
Scope And Purpose of Position:
Responsible for the MRP purchasing processes on assigned domains, for identifying actions to reach department KPI objectives, for the acquisition of components at minimum costs, for maintaining acceptable inventory levels and a minimum of 95% on-time deliveries from suppliers, through a good relationship and excellent communication with Peers, Customers and Suppliers.
Responsible for the Materials Planning and Logistics on assigned domains, for identifying actions to reach department KPI objectives, for daily, weekly, and monthly KPI updates, for managing SOPs in a professional manner, for managing Cycle Count programs, for maintaining Inventory accuracy at required company levels, for developing, coaching, and training a strong Supply Chain team, and for providing logistics support to purchasing team.
Responsible Continuous Improvement Program, for Interviewing new candidates to fill open positions, for welcoming, developing and providing training to new employees, performing performance reviews, developing backups for key positions, Succession Planning, employee time management - Time cards, Vacations, PTOs, and for promoting Continuous Education.
Escalate and manage critical situations where applicable, Customer Liaison for delivery and packaging issues. Responsible for Managing trailer logistics from suppliers and for yard controls, for submitting compensation requests, and for timely and accurate inventory transactions among other responsibilities assigned by corporate management team.
Tasks Of The Position:

- Lead, participate, and support Continuous Improvement activities.

- Responsible for managing SOPs, for standardization, developing, auditing, reviewing, and training.

- Support internal and external audits for process validation.
- Responsible for maintaining Inventory accuracy at required company levels,
- Responsible for developing, coaching, and training a strong Supply Chain team, (purchasing and MP&L teams).
- Responsible for providing logistics support to the purchasing team.
- Customer Liaison for delivery and packaging issues.
- Responsible for Managing trailer logistics and logistic incidents from suppliers and for yard controls,
- Responsible for submitting and managing compensation requests.
- Responsible for timely and accurate inventory transactions.

- Coordinate daily updates to internal production Schedule (Receive, Audit and update)
- Optimize On-time deliveries from Suppliers.
- Optimize Inventory required days on hand.
- Minimize excess and obsolescence and control final dispositions.
- Maintain MRP system for inventory control.
- Provide the required training to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Improve forecast accuracy by monitoring the status of active sales and customer orders.

- Responsible for the supply chain management of designated critical (direct and/or HSP) suppliers,
- Responsible for consignment programs where applicable.
- Coordinate and control Non-conformance reports, monitoring compliance and execution of actions.
- Performing Supplier Visits and hosting Supplier meetings.
- Support Supply Chain teams to achieve the required KPI’s,
- Monitor transaction time for Improved processing time and accuracy.
- Responsible for team unplanned issues and receipts
- Investigate Supplier and Customer complaints and collaborate with other departments to identify root cause and take corrective actions. (DTR’s, NCR’s and others)
- Other responsibilities assigned by corporate management team.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational, priority/time management, problem solving, and conflict resolution and judgement skills.
- Speaks effectively before groups of customers or associates of MAI Companies (GLA,GSA,IA).
- Communicates problems involving complex and confidential solutions to Plant Human Resources.

Job Requirements:
- Advanced levels in Microsoft Office.
- 5-10 years of Supply Chain Experience, (Purchasing, Materials, Planning and Logistics).
- 5 years of Management and MRP Experience
- ISO Compliance experience, able to write audit and review SOPs in compliance with ISO Standards.
- Strong Leader with Analytical, Technical and People Skills,
- Excellent Team Player, get along well with others.
- Multi-task Skills manages several tasks and projects at any given time.
- Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs. and occasionally carry 30 to 50 feet.
- Required to stand and walk around the plant for at least 8 hours a day.
- Primarily office and manufacturing floor-based.
- Work daily assigned shift, on call 24/7 for emergencies and supply chain issues as needed.
- Support all company policies and Associate Handbook and Safety Manual.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Manages a team of Purchasing Specialists, Supervisors, Materials Analysts, Shipping and recieving team leads, and associates. Responsible for the overall direction, coordinate, and evaluation of associates in accordance with MAI Companies Policies and Procedures.
Qualification (Education/Training):
- Bachelors degree in supply chain, or Business Administration preferred. Related fields will also be considered with 5 to 10 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated 5 years of MRP experience (QAD Experience will be a plus).
- Demonstrated Logistics and Supply Chain experience in the automotive industry.
- Proficient (Intermediate to Advanced) Microsoft experience is a must.
- Knowledge of Inventory Controls, Shipping and Receiving, Warehouse Management.
- Knowledge of International trade compliance (USMCA, COO, ISPM#15 Standards, among others).
