POSITION SUMMARY
The Employee Relation Assistant will perform administrative tasks, onboarding and is the front line for day-to-day HR inquiries/services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resources department. This position also provides back-up support for the Employee Relation Generalist Role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates orientation and ensuring the daily tasks stay on track
- Collaborates with new hires on and offsite for benefit & employee relation onboarding, such as first day communication, conducting new hire orientation, ensuring all required new hire tasks and documents are completed timely.
- Verifies I-9 documentation and completes digital I-9 form, including E-verify, adhering to applicable laws.
- Provides guidance to employees on how to maintain their personal data in the HRIS.
- Updates employee personal, position or seat data as needed in the HRIS and notifies IT and other applicable departments as needed, ex. Title Changes.
- First line for customer service functions by answering calls, triaging inbox, answering frequently asked questions and employee requests; refers questions to appropriate employee relation team member.
- Assist Employee Relation team with internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Updates communications and announcements as needed.
- Add employee documents to their files
- Assists with wellness benefits communication and engagement, including but not limited to Emplify onsite clinic, chiropractic services, fitness center, etc.
- Update Contact list & seating charts
- Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; required
- Associate degree in human resources or related field or working towards degree; a plus
- 6+ months in a directly relatable position; preferred
Essential Skills:
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skill with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, organizational skills and attention to details.
- Experience working with multiple computer programs simultaneously; required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; required
- Paycom experience; a plus
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and function well in a high-paced and at time stressful environment.
- Working understanding of human resource principals, practices, and procedures.
- Strong self-motivator, team-orientated and proactive mindset.
- Collaborative work style.
