Full Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and hardworking Marketing and Advertising Manager to help grow our brand, generate leads, create strong content, and make Rutter’s impossible to ignore in the communities we serve.

About Rutter’s

Rutter’s is a fast-growing roofing, gutters, siding, and exterior restoration company serving Oshkosh, the Fox Valley, Madison, Milwaukee and surrounding Wisconsin communities. We specialize in storm damage restoration, insurance-related roofing projects, and high-quality exterior work.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk-and-post-random-graphics type of role. We want someone who is excited to get out to job sites, capture real content, work with our sales and production teams, and help build a strong local brand.

Position Overview

The Marketing & Advertising Manager will be responsible for creating and managing content, helping run digital advertising campaigns, improving brand visibility, and supporting lead generation efforts.

This person should be creative, dependable, organized, fast-moving, and comfortable working in a construction/home services environment. The ideal candidate understands social media, short-form video, local marketing, and the importance of turning attention into real business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Create and manage content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Google Business Profile, and other platforms
Capture photo and video content at active job sites
Create short-form videos, reels, before-and-after posts, customer education content, storm damage content, company culture posts, and recruiting content
Write engaging captions, hooks, and ad copy
Build and manage a weekly/monthly content calendar
Help manage and monitor paid advertising campaigns, including Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, and Google Local Services Ads
Track marketing performance, including leads, booked inspections, cost per lead, and ad performance
Work closely with the sales team to create content that supports lead generation and brand trust
Work with project managers to capture jobsite content, customer stories, and completed projects
Help promote storm response campaigns after hail, wind, or severe weather events
Create content around reviews, testimonials, local projects, and community involvement
Assist with recruiting content for sales reps, project managers, crews, and future hires
Maintain brand consistency across all platforms
Bring new creative ideas to the table regularly
Monitor competitor marketing and identify ways Rutter’s can stand out
Help make Rutter’s one of the most recognized roofing and exterior companies in our market

Qualifications

Experience creating social media content for a business, brand, or personal platform
Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and current social media trends
Ability to shoot and edit short-form video content
Strong writing skills for captions, hooks, and ad copy
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
Organized and able to manage a content calendar
Comfortable visiting job sites and filming around active construction
Strong work ethic and ability to move quickly
Willingness to learn roofing, siding, gutters, storm damage, and insurance restoration
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Positive, energetic attitude
Must be reliable and able to follow through

Preferred Experience

Experience in roofing, construction, real estate, home services, or local service business marketing
Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, or Google Local Services Ads
Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools
Photography or videography experience
Drone experience is a plus
Experience with Google Business Profile
Experience tracking marketing performance and lead generation
Basic understanding of CRM systems is a plus

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility may be required depending on jobsite schedules, weather events, storm response, and company needs.

Compensation

Pay will be based on experience and ability. Performance bonuses may be available based on content output, lead generation, booked inspections, ad performance, and overall marketing results. Lot of opportunity to grow within the company.
