POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: General Office Clerk

Department: Finance

Reports To: Accounting Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Prepared By: Human Resources Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Scans TITO and other documents before shredding.
Data entry involving correcting errors on scanned tickets as needed.
Copies data and compiles records and reports.
Writes, types, or enters information into computer.
Proofreads records or forms.
Sorts and files records.
Shreds confidential documents after scanning electronically.
Prepares stock inventory for office supplies.
Address’s envelops or packages.
Stuffs envelopes by hand or with envelope stuffing machine.
Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
Operates office machines such as typewriter, adding machines and copiers.
Answers telephone, takes messages and delivers them.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required; prefer candidate with one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Gaming License.
