The key responsibilities of the role include:

Reviews legal and administrative documentsof all new, renewed, and increased loans to ensurethat they support the approved loan structure.
Before loan funding is allowed, determines the level of waiver action required when documentation deficiencies are discovered.
Using a computer system, monitors all existing documentation deficiencies and the receipt of time-sensitive documentation during the term of all loans.
Reviews all trailing documentation to ensure it is properly executed and recorded, if appropriate.
Reports the status of documentation deficiencies to account officers and management using the loan documentation unit''s computer system''s report capabilities.
Interacts with legal and account officers to clarify unfamiliar or questionable loan documentation.
Reviews appropriate documentation files and records for selected existing loans to determine compliance with established bank and legal guidelines.
Prepares summary reports of each existing loan audited for review by division and appropriate senior management.
Develops and recommends new procedures and operational controls to protect loan documentation and customer information.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

Knowledge of personal and commercial loan documentation usually acquired through previous experience in loan documentation is required to review loan documentation.
Knowledge of commercial banking systems usually acquired through experience is required to extract information from various systems for analysis.
Analytical and computer skills are required to analyze documentation, identify deficiencies, prepare reports, and work with system databases.
2 years loan documentation or related experience.
