Job Summary

Position Summary:

Saturday to Wednesday, 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

To effectively handle communications and codes through the switchboard and to relay calls and messages to the proper person or department using a pleasant, clear phone voice and proper etiquette skills so that customers perceive excellent, competent service.

Responsibilities

Operates the PBX answering incoming and in-house call requests.
Responds to all emergency codes quickly and calmly with appropriate overhead paging.
Contacts patients for an address update as indicated by Supervisor.
Reviews updates in the communication book and initial memos.
Inventories contents of safe at the beginning of each shift in the presence of a security guard.

Qualifications

Special Skills: Must be able to react quickly and calmly to emergency situations and work without direct supervision. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must exude excellent communication skills including proper phone etiquette.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience: On the job training.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Previous switchboard or telephone experience.
