Full Job Description

Double Bunny is hiring a talented, reliable baker for a recurring Sunday shift in a shared commercial kitchen. This production role focuses on mixing large batches of cookie dough (40+ pounds) and finishing cookies with toppings and fillings. We move at a steady, controlled pace — speed matters, but quality and consistency matter more. Pay is $20/hr with potential to take on more creative baking work as we expand our product line.

Shift Details

- Schedule: Sunday, Monday 6 am-2pm

- Hours: 8 hours per shift

- Location: Shared commercial kitchen, 1731 Llewellyn Ave, Baltimore, MD

- Pay: $20 per hour

Key Responsibilities

- Mix large commercial-scale batches of cookie dough to recipe specifications.

- Measure ingredients precisely and maintain consistent dough quality.

- Portion dough, prepare trays, and apply toppings and fillings with attention to presentation.

- Maintain a steady, efficient workflow without sacrificing quality.

- Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment during and after shifts.

- Move ingredient bins, trays, and finished product as needed; assist with basic storage and setup.

- Collaborate on process improvements and, as the role grows, contribute to development of new products such as cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats.

Who You Are

- An experienced baker or pastry team member with commercial kitchen experience.

- Physically able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for 8–10 hours.

- Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written recipes and verbal directions precisely.

- Detail-oriented and proud of consistent results.

- Curious and eager to grow into recipe development

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in high-volume cookie production, pastry, or bakery roles.

- Food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain one.

- Experience with sheet pans, large mixers, scale measuring, and portioning tools.

- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation in a shared kitchen.
