Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound pro-cedures in accordance with department standards, and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician.
Operates all ultrasound equipment, computers, and accessories.
Demonstrates competency in film-processing procedures.
Identifies and initiates accurate assessment of life-threatening conditions.
Troubleshoots equipment and cooperates with service personnel in order to maintain minimal down time. Initiates service calls on all equipment assigned to the area.
Charges exams and supplies on a daily basis when work is completed. Maintains and updates the patient log on a daily basis.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono and
Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 90 Days

Preferred

Bachelors Of Science and/or graduate of anaccredited school of cardiovascular technology. and Three (3) years recent acute careexperience preferred performingCardiovascular Ultrasound procedures inan acute facility, must be registered (i.e., ARDMS, RDCS, or RVT)
