Job Description

At Atlas, we're providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive, and if you’re an Industrial Hygiene Technician ready to conduct hazardous materials surveys, sampling, reporting, and remediation oversight in compliance, then this is your moment. Core Responsibilities

Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials surveys.
Collect environmental and personal samples and prepare shipments to laboratories.
Provide asbestos and lead-based paint oversight during remediation.
Collect field notes and photographs to support report preparation.
Prepare chain-of-custody documents and record survey data on approved forms.
Compose detailed sample location maps.
Prepare reports including methodology, results, and recommendations.
Use, calibrate, maintain, and manage standard field sampling equipment.
Implement Atlas health and safety policies, directives, and standards.
Travel to project and client sites, work off-hours as needed, maintain regulatory knowledge, communicate with project teams, and participate in training.

You’ll thrive here if you have

Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or certificate in a related field; field experience may substitute for education.
DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification.
CDPH Lead Related Construction Sampling Technician (LRC ST) or CDPH LRC Inspector/Assessor (I/A) certification.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DISA/Drug-Alcohol Testing requirements.
Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other required personal protective equipment.
Experience conducting asbestos, lead, and mold surveys.
Experience conducting exposure assessments and hazardous materials oversight.
Strong technical inspection skills.
Strong technical writing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft software and applications.
Experience and knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Building Sciences sampling equipment, protocols, and regulations.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, travel up to 50%, and maintain reliable transportation.

Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 annual salary
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
