The Position: The Machinist/Mechanic will perform assigned job specific duties. Functions to be performed include but are not limited to: conventional and CNC machine operations, disassembly and inspection, welding, and field machining.
Hours: Normal hours are 40 hours per week between 7 AM and 3:30 PM Monday – Friday . Hours may include weekend and/or additional hours as business needs warrant. Scheduled breaks and lunch periods are established.
Working Conditions: Duties will primarily be performed within the Rebound machine shop area. However, exterior on-site field work may be required. Eye protection and overall safety practices and policies will be required while working in the Rebound machine shop area and while performing field duties. Uniform requirements may apply. Training of Rebound practices, policies and procedures will be provided.
General duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operate equipment in most safe and efficient manner. Attend daily AM workday briefing meetings.
- Read and utilize mechanical drawings, planning and directions to manufacture parts and assemblies.
- Mechanical disassembly and inspection/reassembly as needed.
- Ensure that tools and materials are used correctly and properly stored for future use.
- Compliance with established attendance/punctuality/break standards.
- Responsible for ensuring all quality inspections are performed and checked by the appropriate staff.
- Ensure set up of machines is correctly performed for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Ensures that quality standards are adhered to per job specifications.
- Ensure that machines are correctly cleaned after use and check that regular preventive maintenance is being performed.
- Responsible to ensure that all assigned jobs are completed on time.
- Follow all safety practices, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for attending all mandatory OSHA, customer, and vendor employee safety training sessions and all subsequent retraining/compliance.
- Attend monthly in-house safety meetings.
- Compliance with all Rebound policies, procedures, KPI’s and SOP’s.
- Adherence to established KPI’s for optimal productivity,
- Responsible to reach and maintain established performance standards/goals and explain variances and course of action to improve negative ratings.
- Generates ideas and implements changes in process and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce cost
- Performance of duties in an efficient and timely manner in order to meet on-time delivery requirements.

Qualifications: Formal training from qualified machine trade school or equivalent certification preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in machine shop environment preferred. CNC qualifications preferred. Math and computer skills. Ability to read drawings. Knowledge and experience operating various machine shop equipment, hand tools and power equipment.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent, with additional related education preferred. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, background and MVR checks and subsequent checks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
