Director of Marketing | Richland County, Ohio | Up to $140K | Direct Hire

The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is partnered with a strong, established, and rapidly scaling organization in Richland County, Ohio, seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead marketing across both the B2B and B2C sides of the business, multiple brands, customer channels, and multiple growing business divisions.

This is a high visibility leadership role for someone who has already built or significantly strengthened a marketing function, led a team, supported B2B sales growth, and understands how marketing directly impacts revenue, customer engagement, e-commerce, and brand presence.
This is a working Director role. The right person will lead strategy, vision, people, systems, and execution, while still being willing to step in where needed.

Core Requirements
The strongest candidates will be able to confidently answer yes to most or all of the following:
• Have you built or significantly strengthened a marketing department or marketing function?
• Have you built, coached, and developed a marketing team?
• Have you managed a marketing team of approximately 7 to 10 people?
• Do you have strong B2B marketing experience tied to sales growth?
• Do you have proven e-commerce marketing experience?
• Have you been heavily involved with CRM, preferably HubSpot?
• Have you helped implement, improve, or optimize CRM workflows, reporting, campaigns, or automation?
• Do you have strong email marketing, direct marketing, customer segmentation, and ROI-driven campaign experience?
• Have you owned a marketing budget and made decisions around spend, tools, campaigns, trade shows, and growth opportunities?

What You’ll Lead
• Marketing strategy across both B2B and B2C sides of the business, with B2B being especially important.
• E-commerce marketing growth for a newer and expanding business division.
• A marketing team of approximately seven, including marketing leadership, associates, brand, social/content, and web development support.
• Marketing calendar development, campaign planning, timelines, budgets, and execution.
• Email marketing, direct marketing, CRM-driven campaigns, customer segmentation, and follow-up strategy.
• Social media growth, content strategy, audience engagement, and overall brand influence.
• Marketing literature, sales collateral, brand materials, web content, and customer-facing resources.
• Trade show marketing, preparation, execution, follow-up, and ROI review.
• Cross-functional partnership with sales, operations, leadership, and other internal teams.

Must-Have Experience
• Marketing leadership experience at the Director level or similar.
• Experience building or significantly improving a marketing function.
• Experience managing and developing a marketing team of approximately 7 to 10 people.
• Strong B2B marketing experience.
• Proven e-commerce marketing experience.
• CRM experience, with HubSpot strongly preferred.
• CRM implementation, optimization, automation, workflows, reporting, or campaign tracking experience.
• Email marketing and direct marketing experience.
• Marketing budget ownership.
• Strong project management, timeline management, and follow-through.
• Ability to work onsite in Richland County, Ohio, five days a week.

Preferred Experience
• Trade show marketing experience, strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel to several trade shows per year, primarily domestic with some international travel, mainly Canada.
• Experience with HubSpot, ClickUp, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Teams, Canva, and related marketing/project tools.
• Experience across multiple brands, product lines, business units, or customer groups.
• Experience growing social media influence and content engagement.
• Experience partnering closely with sales to support lead generation, customer follow-up, e-commerce growth, and revenue.

Schedule and Location
This is an onsite role in Richland County, Ohio. The team works closely together and highly values in-person collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range is targeted around $120,000, with flexibility up to $140,000 for the right candidate based on experience, leadership scope, and overall fit.

A competitive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and related benefits. Future bonus potential to be discussed.
Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
