Sports & Sports
The Mission
This role exists to drive Sports & Sports toward its growth target by building a predictable, repeatable engine of new corporate, school, league, and organizational business. Success isn't measured by activity—it's measured by closed revenue, account retention, and consistent month-over-month growth in the book.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
A successful rep ramps quickly by leaning on existing relationships in the first 90 days while simultaneously building a fresh pipeline. By the end of year one, they've established a reliable base of repeat accounts, hit or exceeded their revenue target, and built enough pipeline visibility that future quarters are no longer guesswork.
The Four Pillars of Success Here
1. Own the Pipeline
The best reps treat their territory like their own business. That means knowing exactly how many active prospects are in play, where each one sits in the buying process, and what the next action is. A full, well-managed pipeline is the single biggest predictor of who hits their number and who doesn't.
2. Sell What We Do Best
Sports & Sports wins on quality decoration and dependable production. A successful rep sells the full capability—screen printing, embroidery, promotional products, and uniform programs—rather than one-off jobs. The real money is in landing accounts that reorder: leagues that come back every season, corporate clients who reorder annually, schools and booster clubs with recurring needs.
3. Protect the Relationship Through Production
A sale isn't a win until the customer is happy with what ships. The most successful reps work hand-in-hand with the production team—setting realistic expectations, communicating deadlines clearly, and never overpromising on turnaround. Accounts are kept by flawless delivery far more than by the next pitch.
4. Grow the Accounts You Land
Closing a new logo is step one. The reps who scale fastest expand within their accounts—turning a single team order into a full league program, a one-time corporate buy into a uniform contract, a single contact into multiple buyers inside the same organization. It's far cheaper to grow an account than to find a new one.
The Activity That Drives It
Consistent prospecting (outreach to new accounts every single week), disciplined follow-up, quick quote turnaround, and tight communication with production. Reps who do these four things consistently are the ones who hit their numbers—not the ones who rely on a lucky quarter.
How They'll Be Supported
Sports & Sports provides the production capacity to actually deliver, competitive and fair pricing, marketing support, and a base salary that removes the desperation so the rep can sell from a position of strength. The company succeeds when the rep succeeds—this is a true partnership.
The Bottom Line
The successful rep is hungry, organized, and accountable. They build relationships, manage their pipeline like a business owner, protect every account through flawless delivery, and grow what they land. Do that consistently, and both the rep and the company win.
