Join our thrilling entertainment team as a Scare Actor and become the heartbeat of our haunted attractions! In this energetic role, you will bring spooky characters to life, creating unforgettable experiences that thrill. Your dynamic presence, engaging performance skills, and fearless attitude will help craft immersive, adrenaline-pumping environments that leave guests talking long after the screams fade. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to combine acting, crowd interaction, and theatrical performance in a lively, fast-paced setting.

Duties

Perform as a variety of spooky characters, utilizing voice acting, physical movement, and facial expressions to evoke fear and excitement.
Interact with guests through crowd engagement, encouraging participation and heightening the thrill factor.
Collaborate with fellow actors to develop coordinated performances that maximize audience engagement for live events.
Maintain safety protocols while performing in costume and on set, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff alike.
Assist in setting up scenes, props, and costumes to create authentic horror atmospheres aligned with production themes.
Provide feedback on guest reactions to help improve overall attraction performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

No experience? No problem. Don't be afraid to apply, we will train. Some of our best performers were shy newbies once!

We also offer volunteer hours and internships through our nonprofit.

Ideal candidates:

Previous experience in acting, theatre production, or live performance is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with an ability to engage audiences of all ages, especially children.
Familiarity with crowd interaction techniques and audience engagement strategies for live performances.
Skills in dance or movement-based acting contribute to dynamic character portrayals.
Knowledge of film production performance or studio recording is a plus for creating compelling character voices.
Theater experience or modeling background can add depth to character development and stage presence.
Ability to perform in costume for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm.
