The Athens Central Hotel is looking for an experienced and seasoned Assistant Manager to work in the newest and highest rated hotel in Athens, Ohio. The Athens Central Hotel opened in 2019 and is the only 4-Star hotel in the area surrounding Ohio University’s main campus and is the only hotel located mere steps away from campus and uptown! This luxury boutique hotel features modern rooms with first-class accommodations and amenities! The Mediterranean inspired architectural theme of the hotel makes the property unique in the area and stands as a work of art contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the Athens, Ohio market. Responsibilities:

Train, lead, and develop team members

Identify property needs and execute a plan to address those needs

Prepare operational budgets, facilitating financial planning and expense control

Forecast revenue based on market segments and execute a plan to exceed revenue goals

Create a memorable guest experience

Oversee and manage overall operations of the hotel, including but not limited to Front Office, Sales, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering

Qualifications:

Preferred: Associates’ or Bachelors’ degree in Hospitality Management OR a minimum of 2 years of hospitality management experience

Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and or manage hospitality programs (knowledge of Ezee Front Desk is a plus)

Ability to think critically to develop strategies for success

Thrive in an ever-changing & fast-paced environment

Need to be able to analyze a P&L to ensure cost controls

Ability to analyze Guest Service reports, recognizing market trends

Possess excellent written and verbal communication

A background check and credit check may be required as part of the application process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
