Miller Industries/SHC is seeking to fill the position of skilled CNC Machine Operator. This position is based in our SHC Athens, Tennessee subsidiary manufacturing facility and is a part of our Machine Shop department. Operator may set up and operate various CNC machines as company needs require.
**CURRENTLY HIRING FOR 10-HOUR NIGHT SHIFT; ADDITIONAL SHIFT PREMIUM PAY FOR NIGHT SHIFT**
Skills assessment testing will be performed during the interview process. Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Screening will be required.
Position Summary:
Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, drill presses, lasers, lathes, and mills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc
· Ensure working environment is clean and safe
· Verify specifications
· Read parts list
· Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
· Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
· Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
· Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
· Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools; experience running mills is required.
· Must be able to utilize various measuring devices, interpret blueprints and use shop math is needed due to the technological needs of many fabrication parts.
· A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
