Full Job Description

Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a part-time, contract basis. This opportunity is perfect for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in a school environment, offering the chance to help students ages 3-11 reach their fullest potential over the course of the academic year.

This position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 30th. You will primarily assist elementary students, collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualized therapy and interventions designed to boost student success in both academic and functional skills. Work 2-3 days a week, providing vital services and encouragement in a supportive setting.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid COTA license/certification
Previous experience with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings
Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals
Strong communication and organizational skills
A passion for fostering growth and independence in young learners

Key Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy support under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Assist in conducting assessments and implementing treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
Document and track student progress, sharing insights and recommendations with the multidisciplinary team
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in goal setting for each child’s development
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure cohesive care
