Accounting Clerk

South Metro Atlanta, GA – Onsite

Compensation between $22 - $28 / hour (depending on experience) + benefits

Company Overview:

Join a growing, team-oriented company where accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail are valued. We’re looking for a reliable and detail-driven Accounting Clerk to support our finance department. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting functions of the company, assisting with various financial processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion of all accounting tasks. This role involves working with accounts payable, general ledger entries, payroll, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivables: Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments accurately and on time. Assist with collections and following up on overdue accounts.
Data Entry & Journal Entries: Input financial transactions and assist in posting journal entries to the general ledger.
Payroll: Prepare & process payroll, processing payroll changes, and ensuring compliance with wage laws.
Job Costing Support: Assist in tracking and managing job costs, ensuring that all project-related financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
Office Support: Order office supplies as needed, maintaining within set budgets.
Operations Support: Support field operations as needed, hotel books, gas card management, etc.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Customer & Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors and clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing support as needed.
General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, organizing, and maintaining accounting records.

Qualifications:

Education – High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Experience – 2-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.

Any combination of education and experience providing enough skills, knowledge, and abilities would be acceptable. Computer Ease Accounting Software experience is a plus.
