Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting the financial health of the organization; be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting. This role works closely with management to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Repsonsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate books and supporting documentation.
Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, payment scheduling, and account reconciliation
Manage accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Reconcile bank and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and preparation of internal financial reports
Support other administrative accounting functions as needed
Work closely with management to help maintain timely and accurate financial information.
Maintain vendor files and process vendor payments.
Serve as the first point of contact for routine accounting questions.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

3+ years of full cycle accounting experience- Including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Month end close
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Proficient in QuickBooks and comfortable working with accounting systems and spreadsheets.

Experience:

Experience supporting a small business or office environment preferred
High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
General ledger and reconciliation experience
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
