Full Job Description

Production Technician

Join our dynamic manufacturing facility where you will contribute to the creation of sophisticated robotic and electro-mechanical systems. We prioritize precision and innovation, offering a collaborative space where your technical skills help bring cutting-edge technology to life.

Location: Westboro, Massachusetts

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Production Technician to assist in building intricate electro-mechanical devices. Your daily tasks may shift between manual assembly and material logistics based on current production requirements. We value candidates who prioritize workplace safety, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and thrive within a team-oriented setting.

Primary Duties

Electromechanical Assembly

Analyze blueprints, assembly guides, parts lists, and work orders to prepare for production tasks.
Collect all required components, tools, and subassemblies needed to complete the build.
Contribute to the assembly, repair, and rework processes to ensure high-quality electro-mechanical systems.

Production & Material Handling Support

Transport and organize materials to ensure workstations remain fully stocked.
Utilize carts, pallet jacks, and other logistics tools to move equipment safely.
Help organize production parts through efficient kitting and labeling processes.
Ensure inventory accuracy by maintaining precise documentation and utilizing scanning tools.

Quality & Documentation

Conduct thorough quality checks to help ensure every product meets our strict quality standards.
Record all production progress by updating quality logs and activity reports.
Follow standardized work instructions to input data accurately into our manufacturing software.

Safety & Team Collaboration

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all safety protocols.
Foster a productive atmosphere through clear communication and active collaboration with colleagues.
Monitor stock levels and verify incoming shipments to help the team maintain optimal supply inventory.

Required Skills

Capacity to remain standing for at least seven hours during your shift.
Physical ability to lift loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
Proficiency in reading and executing work instructions written in English.
Ease of use with handheld scanning technology.

Preferred Skills

Minimum of one year of experience working in a production or manufacturing setting.
Prior exposure to inventory management, MES, or ERP software platforms.
Ability to translate complex manufacturing documentation, including drawings and traveler paperwork, into action.
Knowledge of safe material handling techniques, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
High level of precision to ensure accuracy in part identification and labeling.

Basic Qualifications

Possession of a GED or High School Diploma.
Availability to work the assigned shift, including the potential for overtime.
Strong focus on detail when entering data into manufacturing software and computer systems.
Willingness to engage in repetitive manual tasks while standing or sitting for long durations.
Capability to contribute positively to a collaborative, team-based manufacturing culture.
Comfort working with power tools and mechanical equipment in a shop environment.
