Job Title: Temporary Help Desk Support Specialist

Pay: $20–$30 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Are you passionate about technology and enjoy helping others solve technical issues? We're seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Help Desk Support Specialist to join a busy IT team in Lewiston. This temporary opportunity is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting end users, deploying hardware, and contributing to a fast-paced IT environment.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced IT professionals to prepare, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware while providing outstanding support to employees. Every day offers the chance to build your technical skills and make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you will:

Prepare, image, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, and work-from-home equipment.
Perform basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting for desktops, peripherals, and related devices.
Assist with software installations, updates, and system configurations.
Document support requests, hardware inventories, configurations, and issue resolutions using established procedures.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when appropriate.
Provide professional technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.
Maintain accurate equipment records and organized deployment workspaces.
Support day-to-day IT operations and assist with additional projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, and common technical support practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to follow documentation, technical procedures, and established workflows.
Effective time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a customer-focused approach.
The ability to recognize when issues should be escalated to higher-level technical support.

Work Environment

In Office based position in Lewiston.
This role requires on-site work due to the hands-on nature of hardware deployment and support.
