Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Legal Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist to manage the financial backbone of our practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient, with strong experience in both QuickBooks and Clio billing — including how they integrate together in a legal environment.

This is not a training role; we are looking for someone who can step in and hit the ground running with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks and Clio
Oversee client trust accounts in full compliance with Florida Bar requirements
Process client billing, invoicing, and reconciliation between systems
Generate accurate financial reports for firm leadership
Support payroll and expense tracking
Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and client records

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Clio billing (required)
Prior experience working in a law firm environment (required)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and legal billing practices
Ability to work independently and with precision under deadlines
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Requirements

Must be available during firm office hours (M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Onsite position in Bartow, Florida (remote work may be considered, but is not guaranteed)
