Build a Skilled Trade Career With a Clear Path Forward
Do you have electrical training or at least one year of hands-on construction experience? Are you dependable, comfortable using tools, and ready to learn a skilled trade from experienced professionals?
Mr. Electric of Winter Haven is hiring an Electrical Apprentice to assist our service electricians while developing the technical, customer-service, and troubleshooting skills needed to advance into a full service electrician position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a temporary construction job. We’re looking for a motivated apprentice who wants to master the electrical trade, take on greater responsibility, and eventually earn performance-based compensation as a service electrician.
What You’ll Do
Working alongside an experienced service electrician, you will:
- Assist with residential electrical repairs and installations
- Prepare work areas, organize materials, and maintain a clean jobsite
- Help install lighting, outlets, switches, ceiling fans, surge protection, and smart-home devices
- Assist with panel replacements, service upgrades, and EV charger installations
- Learn electrical troubleshooting and the safe use of diagnostic equipment
- Enter attics, crawlspaces, and other confined work areas when required
- Protect customers’ homes and clean the work area after every job
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and assigned work areas
- Learn applicable electrical codes and company safety procedures
- Observe how our electricians communicate with homeowners and present appropriate solutions
All electrical work will be performed under the direction and supervision required for your experience level.
What We’re Looking For
You could be a strong fit if you:
- Have completed electrical or construction-related training or have at least one year of construction experience
- Have mechanical aptitude and know how to use basic hand and power tools safely
- Arrive on time, prepared to work, and ready to learn
- Follow directions carefully and accept coaching
- Take pride in clean, professional workmanship
- Communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers
- Can use mobile technology such as an iPad, digital forms, and job-management applications
- Want to develop into a residential service electrician—not remain a general helper
- Are comfortable working on ladders and in attics, crawlspaces, heat, and other typical residential construction conditions
Previous electrical experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates with relevant construction experience and the right work ethic.

- Ability to communicate clearly enough to follow safety instructions and interact professionally with customers
