Now Hiring: Head Chef
The Kennebec Room/The Nightcap Lounge · Caldwell & Park Hospitality
Augusta, Maine

We're opening two new concepts in downtown Augusta, and we're looking for a Head Chef to build and lead the kitchen at their heart.

Who we're looking for

This role is for a chef who leads from the line, not just the office. You bring:

Culinary experience that shows. A strong track record running a kitchen or serving as a senior sous ready to step up. You know food, technique, and what it takes to execute at a high level, night after night.
Uncompromising attention to detail. Consistency is the job. Every plate that leaves your pass looks and tastes the way it's supposed to — the first plate and the four-hundredth.
Real leadership. You set the tone, train and develop your team, run a clean and disciplined kitchen, and earn respect through how you carry yourself under pressure.
Flawless execution. You manage prep, timing, food cost, ordering, and inventory without losing sight of the plate. You keep the line moving and the standards high when it counts most.

What you'll own

Menu development and seasonal evolution in partnership with ownership, including our BBQ/smoker program
Hiring, training, and leading kitchen staff
Food cost, ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
Kitchen systems, health and safety compliance, and day-to-day operations
Setting the culinary identity of a brand-new venue
