National Jewish Health is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Bronchoscopy Technician (Respiratory Therapist/RT) to join the Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center (MIDC) team. Position Summary
Responsible for assisting with bronchoscopy and endoscopy (as needed) procedures including procedure room preparation. Cleans, maintains, and secures bronchoscopes and GI scopes (as needed). Performs complex calibrations and calculation of data and evaluates accuracy, reliability, and reproducable of results to meet or exceed all national standards.
Essential Duties
- Assists physicians with bronchoscope and laryngoscope procedures.
- Prepares bronchoscopy and endoscopy procedure rooms. Cleans instruments, handles, and prepares tissue, lavage, and fluid specimens to applicable standards.
- Maintains knowledge and use of appropriate computer systems within the department and hospital.
- Stock supplies and equipment to ensure uninterrupted service, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate's or Bachelors Degree in science-related field required.
- Work Experience: 2 years of recent and related experience preferred.
- Special Training, Certification or Licensure: National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or within 1 year of hire any one of the following: Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT). CRTs and RRTs are required to have a current state of Colorado License to practice respiratory care as defined by DORA. BLS required. ACLS/PALS required within 90 days of hire.
Salary Range: $30.29 - $40.06
