Full Job Description

Job Overview

8 PM to 5 AM

Friday, Saturday, Sunday. (3 nights of 9 hours per week)

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining compliance with security protocols. Your energetic presence will help foster a safe atmosphere while providing excellent customer service to all who enter the facility.

Responsibilities

Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential security threats.
Control access points using security systems, verifying identities, and managing entry and exit procedures.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect suspicious activity, hazards, or breaches in security.
Write detailed incident reports for any unusual occurrences or security breaches, ensuring accurate documentation.
Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as part of access control measures.
Assist with conflict de-escalation and conflict management to maintain a peaceful environment.
Operate security equipment such as Taser devices (if certified), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and fire safety systems when required.
Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies at all times.
Support physical security measures through patrolling, heavy lifting when needed, and manual handling tasks to ensure safety standards are met.

Experience

Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
Training in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
Familiarity with incident report writing and background check procedures.
Experience performing physical security duties such as patrolling, heavy lifting, manual handling, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining professional conduct at all times.
Strong understanding of compliance with security regulations and protocols related to physical security measures.
