Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Systems Specialist to support and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience working within a medical device or regulated healthcare environment and hands-on experience supporting ISO-certified quality systems. Experience with FDA regulations and inspections is highly desirable.

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality processes are maintained, audits are successfully completed, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career quality professional looking to grow their expertise in medical device quality systems while contributing to a collaborative and quality-focused organization.

Responsibilities

Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 requirements.
Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, forms, and records.
Coordinate internal and external audits, including certification and surveillance audits.
Assist in preparing the organization for ISO certification and recertification activities.
Support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), nonconformance, deviation, and change control processes.
Participate in root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Ensure document control procedures are followed and records are maintained appropriately.
Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification and performance monitoring.
Support employee training related to quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
Stay current on applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Systems role within a medical device, diagnostics, or regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience working with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Experience supporting internal and external ISO audits.
Knowledge of CAPA, document control, risk management, nonconformance management, and change control processes.
Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
Experience working with FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820) or familiarity with FDA inspections, preferred.
Exposure to Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) requirements, preferred.
Experience with electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS), preferred.
ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar certification is a plus.
