Summary
The PRIMEDIA Network is the Nation's Largest Media Advertising Network and we have an immediate need for a creative web designer with an eye for building modern, responsive, and user-friendly websites.
You will rebuild, launch, and maintain a pipeline of conversion-focused websites — CMS-driven landing pages, AI-readable structured data, and call tracking on every page — and be the in-house owner of how Primedia and its clients show up on the web. This is a hands-on build role for someone who wants a seat on the marketing team, not a one-off contract. Our work is template-based — fast, clean, maintainable builds, not custom-coded development.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build, launch, and maintain company and client websites in Webflow — a pipeline of at least five lead-generation sites to start, with more to follow.
- Customize Webflow Marketplace templates to match each project’s brand style guide exactly — colors, typography, spacing, components.
- Build and populate Webflow CMS Collections that drive programmatic pages: services, industry verticals, location/city pages, case studies, FAQs, testimonials, and blog.
- Build one CMS template that powers many pages — change the template once, every page updates.
- Implement ordered JSON-LD structured data (Organization, Service, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, VideoObject) as Webflow Embeds with CMS field bindings. Validate every page type in Google Rich Results Test.
- Hit Core Web Vitals targets: 85+ mobile PageSpeed, LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1 — WebP imagery, lazy loading, self-hosted fonts.
- Wire up lead capture — modal, inline, and calculator forms — submitting Webflow-native, then webhooking to email platforms and CRMs via Zapier or Make.
- Install and configure GA4, Google Tag Manager, and call-tracking Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI) so each page type swaps to its tagged tracking number.
- Map and build 301 redirects for every changing URL; preserve legacy URLs flagged as off-limits.
- Run full pre-launch QA: cross-browser, accessibility (axe/Lighthouse), schema validation, analytics, mobile.
- Maintain live sites: troubleshoot issues, ship ongoing improvements, and keep performance and schema healthy after launch.
- Partner day-to-day with the marketing team — turning briefs, copy, and creative into launched, converting pages.
- Document your builds so the marketing team can make routine updates without a developer.
What You Will Need for This Position
- 3+ years building production Webflow sites — fluent in the Webflow Designer, CMS Collections, multi-reference fields, and CMS template pages.
- Programmatic, CMS-driven page experience — location or industry landing pages, not just one-off marketing pages.
- Hands-on technical SEO: JSON-LD schema implementation, sitemap/robots.txt, redirect mapping, on-page structure.
- Proven Core Web Vitals / PageSpeed results on real launched sites.
- Working knowledge of GA4, GTM, and call-tracking platforms (CallRail or equivalent), including DNI setup.
- Form-to-CRM integration skills via Zapier, Make, or native webhooks.
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fluency sufficient to place and debug embeds, schema, and tracking — clean, consistent, well-organized code.
- A portfolio of 3 live Webflow sites with URLs. Each must show CMS Collections in use and schema visible in view-source. At least one must be in B2B services, media/advertising, professional services, or franchise/multi-location.
- Ability to work on-site, full-time (40 hours/week) at our Schaumburg office. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Reliable, professional communication and the drive to ship work you’re proud of.
