Full Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate, flexible, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing OB/GYN practice. In this role, you will support physicians and physician assistants in delivering high-quality care to patients, assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. A positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with examinations and treatments as directed by physicians or physician assistants in an OB/GYN clinical setting.
Set up trays, instruments, and equipment for in-office procedures, including Vulvoscopy, IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, LEEP, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, and Incision & Drainage.
Set up patients on Non-Stress Tests (NST) and ensure accurate monitoring.
Assist providers during LEEP and hysteroscopy procedures.
Administer injections, draw blood, perform point-of-care testing (POCT), and run urine samples.
Conduct patient intake by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, and document accurately in the EMR system.
Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms to ensure a safe and organized environment.
Perform autoclaving and sterilization of instruments in compliance with infection control standards.
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring comfort and excellent patient care throughout the visit.
Manage inventory by ordering, organizing, and restocking medical supplies.
Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure efficient workflow and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications (Required):

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) — or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
High school diploma or equivalent
Active CPR Certification
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to be flexible across multiple practice locations
Bilingual skills a plus
