Overview:
As a Welder-Level II you will work independently on intermediate parts as well as full assembly parts involving multiple welding processes. Demonstrate strong progress in quality and understanding of weld processes and parts. Provide welded parts or assemblies with a close tolerance. Perform precision welding using the Tig, Mig, welding processes. Responsible for the proper fit up, and welding of welded assemblies and sheet metal parts. Check equipment for proper operation, safety and or needed maintenance. Perform visual and dimensional inspection on welded parts or assemblies.
Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Check equipment for proper operation, safety and/or needed maintenance.
- Weld full assembly parts and perform tighter tolerances.
- Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques.
- Perform precision welding using the Tig, Mig, welding processes.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Responsible for the proper fit up, and welding of welded assemblies and sheet metal parts.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Pass and Maintain various welding certifications as necessary.
- Perform other jobs or functions assigned by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications: Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of welding experience.
- TIG Welding experience
- Tubular frame welding/ sheet metal fabrication experience
- Two (2) years of technical training, continued education. *May substitute an additional year of work experience for required education.
- Must own all tools required for the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential physical requirements pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- Physical ability to twist, bend and stoop
- Arm-Hand Steadiness- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Near Vision- Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Multi-limb Coordination- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
- Manual Dexterity- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Trunk Strength- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
- Ability to push and pull a weight up to or equal 25 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry a weight up to or equal to 25 pounds

- Personal computers
- Comfortable with Technology, open to learning/coachable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Warehouse and inventory systems (Made2Mange:M2M and SFM)
- Forklift

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
