Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 2–3 days per week, Monday–Friday

About the Position

A well-established Pain Management Practice is looking for a dependable and experienced Paramedic and/or IV Technician to join our clinical team and assist with pre- and post-operative patient care.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys direct patient care, works well in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is confident with IV placement, patient monitoring, and recognizing changes in a patient's condition.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and able to remain calm and professional in a busy procedural setting.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the medical direction of a physician.
Obtain and document pertinent patient information, including medical history, medications, oral intake, pain level, medical reports, and laboratory results.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs according to clinic policy.
Prepare and monitor patients before and after pain management procedures.
Observe patients for changes in condition or response to treatment and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate provider.
Obtain peripheral IV access for medication therapy during procedures.
Remove peripheral IV catheters/lines following procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, patient responses, pain levels, and changes in condition.
Provide patients with clear and easy-to-understand discharge instructions and education.
Assist with appropriate pain management care under the medical direction of the physician.
Maintain patient safety, privacy, and professionalism at all times.
Work closely with providers and clinical staff to support an efficient and positive patient experience.
Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

Strong IV placement skills.
Experience with patient monitoring and pre/post-procedure care preferred.
Ability to quickly recognize and appropriately respond to changes in a patient's condition.
Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Strong commitment to teamwork and helping wherever needed.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

This position may require:

Working in a physically demanding and occasionally high-stress environment.
Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, biohazardous materials, and communicable diseases.
Potential exposure to radiation while working in procedure areas.
Bending, squatting, standing, pushing, pulling, and assisting with patients.
Using proper body mechanics when moving equipment or assisting patients.

Schedule

We are currently looking for someone available 2–3 days per week, Monday through Friday.

We have two office locations.

Sun City: 13203 N 103rd Ave H5, Sun City, AZ 85351

and

Sun City West: 14300 W Granite Valley Dr Ste A1, Sun City West, AZ 85375
