Full Job Description

This is an in-office position only.

A/R Specialist will be responsible for evaluating all claim denials and determine what needs to be done to facilitate a positive outcome.

Identify and report payer denial, low payment and recoupment trends.

Calls to payers and facilities - this job does require you to be on the phone at least 80% of the time.

Access payer sites to submit medical documentation requests, claims adjudications and obtain EOB's

Prepare appropriate written documentation and maintain necessary files.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Work, update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and document appropriate follow up notes on accounts.

Has working knowledge or the ability to quickly adapt to many different PM and EMR software applications.

Must possess a high level of organization and proficiency skills to maintain a high volume workflow.

Knowledge of In-network and out-of-network processes to include ERISA.

Be familiar with State and Federal claims processing and insurance guidelines.

Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Ability to work with multiple companies simultaneously

Experience with spilt modified claims - Pro/Tech.

Responsible for claims appeals with payers, multiple companies.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems

Excellent customer service skills

Maintains strict confidentiality; comply with all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Knowledge of Specialties preferred but not required:

Intraoperative monitoring
Anesthesiology
Orthopedic Surgery
Neurosurgery
Radiology
AEEG

Must have a minimal of 1 year accounts receivable experience in the medical field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
