This Job Is Not for Everyone
The route starts in the shop. Before a single dumpster gets emptied, somebody has to make sure the brakes hold, the hydraulics lift, and the tires turn. That somebody works here. Our drivers are the last of the cowboys — and you're the one who keeps their horses running.

The Standard We Hold
- Keep the fleet ready — garbage trucks, roll-offs, and front loaders. Fleet maintenance is the heartbeat of this job.
- Learn and perform the fundamentals: oil, filters, fluids, grease, heavy-duty air brakes, and tire and wheel changes.
- Assist the mechanics on repairs and answer road calls when a truck goes down on route.
- Communicate with drivers and supervisors — flag problems early, learn the preventive side, not just the repair side.
- Keep the shop sharp: clean and sweep the bays, organize inventory, clean company vehicles, and pitch in on property maintenance as needed.
- Learn to safely operate power tools, heavy machinery, forklifts and heavy-duty trucks. Knowledge of hydraulics, wiring, air systems, or basic diesel work is a plus — willingness to learn is a must.
- Work independently and as part of the team. Multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume shop with competing deadlines — and raise your hand for more responsibility as you grow.
- Be available for evenings and weekends as needed. Trash trucks don't break on a schedule.
Who We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus.
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and hungry to learn a trade. Shows up.
What the Work Demands
This is physical work in a real shop. Expect moderate walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying; work both inside and outside; exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes; and work around moving machinery, moving objects, and high noise levels. We're telling you up front because we hold the standard up front.
