Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Employee Relations & Event Coordinator supports Safe Harbor through the full ownership of staff and leadership event coordination, while also providing administrative support within Human Resources. This role plays a key part in fostering employee engagement, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, and supporting benefit administration.

This position is responsible for executing events from planning through completion, maintaining HR records and processes, and supporting a positive and compliant employee experience.

Position Responsibilities

Event Coordination

Planning, and execution of all staff and leadership events.
Manage all event logistics and ensure seamless event execution
Partner with leadership to align events with organizational priorities and culture.

Employee Engagement & Recognition

Coordinate and execute recognition initiatives (birthdays, anniversaries, GEM Award, Care & Support submissions, etc.)
Assist in administering employee engagement surveys and compiling results for further data analysis.

Onboarding and Benefit Coordination

Prepare onboarding materials, schedules, and documentation.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure all onboarding steps are completed timely.
Assist employees with benefit enrollment processes and required documentation as needed.
Maintain accurate records of employee benefit elections and updates.

HR Administrative Support & Compliance

Track and monitor required training and compliance certifications.
Support audits and compliance-related activities.
Provide general administrative support to HR functions as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma required.

Experience

Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in event coordination, HR support, or administrative roles. Experience with onboarding and/or benefits administration preferred.

Demonstrate ability: (a) in exceptional communication and collaboration skills; (b) to interact professionally, compassionately, and effectively with a variety of internal and external customers; (c) to assess, adapt, and calmly respond to changing environment; (d) to make independent decisions consistent with current policies, procedures, and ethical standards; (e) in project management skills (developing and implementing projects from start up to completion with excellence); (f) to create performance metrics and interpret complex data; (g) to be flexible with a passion for continuous growth and learning; (h) to utilize computer and software systems; advanced in Microsoft platforms;

Pay: $26.44 per hour
