Job Summary

Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to oversee andpromote a safe working environment within our organization. The ideal candidate will assist the implementation of safety policies, conducting training programs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations including OSHA, EPA, and Workers' Compensation laws. This role is vital in fostering a culture of safety, preventing workplace accidents, and maintaining occupational health standards across our manufacturing operations.

Duties

Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, and Occupational Health standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
Lead safety training sessions focused on OSHA compliance, EHS best practices, CPR, First Aid, and Workers' Compensation law.
Investigate workplace incidents through root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain detailed report writing on safety incidents, inspections, and training activities for management review.
Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure readiness for potential safety emergencies.
Collaborate with management to develop training & development programs aimed at improving overall safety awareness among employees.
Stay current with industry regulations and best practices related to occupational health and environmental safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations, and Workers' Compensation law.
Certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA Safety Training, and EHS preferred.
Knowledge of occupational health principles and environmental management systems.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze root causes of incidents effectively.
Excellent communication skills for conducting training sessions and safety briefings.
Ability to perform risk assessments and develop proactive safety strategies.
Experience in training & development related to workplace safety is highly desirable.
A proactive approach to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices.
