Licensed Electrician / HVAC Controls Technician

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour (DOE)

Looking for Something Different Than Traditional Electrical Work?

BASiX Automation Integrators, Inc is seeking a licensed electrician who is interested in working in the growing field of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Controls.

Unlike traditional electrical contracting, our team specializes in the installation, startup, troubleshooting, and service of low-voltage HVAC control systems that operate commercial and industrial buildings.

We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and working directly with customers to improve building performance and comfort.

What You'll Be Doing

Installing low-voltage HVAC control systems and devices
Wiring and terminating controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, and control panels
Troubleshooting control systems and communication networks
Assisting with startup and commissioning of HVAC control systems
Performing service and maintenance on existing building automation systems
Reading control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation
Working closely with customers, mechanical contractors, and facility personnel
Completing service documentation and project reports

Ideal Candidate

You may be a great fit if you:

Hold a current Maine Electrical License (Journeyman or Master preferred)
Enjoy troubleshooting and solving technical problems
Have experience with HVAC controls, building automation, DDC systems, or low-voltage controls (preferred but not required)
Take pride in delivering high-quality work
Are dependable, professional, and customer-focused
Want a long-term career in a specialized and growing industry

Training can be provided for the right candidate with a strong electrical background and a willingness to learn.
