Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring all dishes meet our safety and quality standards. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and culinary excellence will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while contributing to the success of our food service operation.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, fryers, and food processors
Follow strict food safety procedures and handle all food products with proper hygiene practices to prevent contamination
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
Support meal preparation for various service needs, including catering events if applicable
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food production and address any issues promptly
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs

Experience

Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred /however, we are willing to train
Demonstrated ability to handle food safely and adhere to safety standards in production environments
Skilled in food preparation techniques including slicing, chopping, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness standards in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
Experience with food handling regulations, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
