For more than two decades, FIS has supported established organizations by delivering comprehensive, enterprise‑wide solutions that integrate industry best practices and minimize operational risk.

We are seeking a PMO Specialist to support Capital Projects within a high‑speed pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned project management professional who excels in structured methodologies, cross‑functional collaboration, and program‑level governance.

Position Summary

The PMO Specialist ensures the consistent application of project management methodologies and processes across complex capital projects. This individual acts as a key control point, advising project managers and teams, promoting high‑quality execution, and supporting structured planning, monitoring, and control activities.

You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, HR, and external partners to drive successful project delivery and alignment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Mentor project teams on PMO methodologies, tool‑supported solutions, and best practices from planning through execution and control.
Support change management and communication initiatives during planning, implementation, commissioning, and qualification phases.
Design, develop, and facilitate workshops, including coordination, preparation, implementation, and moderation.
Partner with project and line managers to ensure effective PMO resource allocation.
Analyze and synthesize project data to produce program‑level insights, reporting, and actionable recommendations.
Develop decision‑focused PMO documentation and presentations for executive committees.
Manage stakeholder surveys from design through analysis and recommendations.
Build consensus across diverse cultures, functions, and leadership levels to support a unified global PMO mindset.
Coordinate interfaces with global PMO functions and the Global Asset Implementation Program (AIP).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in PMO, project management frameworks, or methodologies supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, or industrial processing environments.
Experience supporting medium‑ to large‑scale transformation (CapEx) projects.
Strong knowledge of cost & change management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and dependency management.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within a program structure.
Experience working with cross‑functional and global teams, including external partners (A/E firms).
Solid understanding of project lifecycle phases: FEL, design, construction, commissioning, qualification.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required; German, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 15%).

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (MS Project, Jira).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently while driving alignment across diverse teams.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
Occasional walking through industrial or construction areas; PPE required as needed.
Must be able to work on‑site at manufacturing facilities.

Schedule & Compensation

8‑hour shift
Overtime and weekend availability may be required
