Full Job Description

Senior Tax Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering strategic tax advisory services, ensuring strict compliance with local tax regulations, and evaluating tax policies to mitigate risks while identifying financial opportunities. You will also play a key role in fostering strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and proactively managing client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute complex tax projects from initial strategy and planning through final client delivery.
Oversee the preparation and review of Puerto Rico tax filings for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
Formulate and advise on tax-saving strategies available under Act 60, with a particular focus on Export Services and Individual Investors incentive programs.
Draft and review ASC 740 tax provisions to support client financial statements and corporate reporting requirements.
Coordinate and ensure the timely submission of key regulatory filings, including:
Informational Returns (Form 480.x series).
Municipal license taxes (Patentes), personal property tax filings, and volume of business declarations.
Annual filings and specialized income tax returns for Act 60 exempt entities and individual investors.
Partner with internal Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams to streamline decree maintenance, permits, and annual reporting requirements.
Provide comprehensive tax consulting services, including regulatory research, tax planning, and compliance advisory.
Monitor and ensure strict compliance with Puerto Rico and federal tax laws and regulations.
Evaluate legislative and regulatory tax changes to identify potential risks and uncover financial opportunities for clients.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships by delivering proactive, solution-oriented service.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services and client solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in corporate and individual tax preparation and compliance.
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and Puerto Rico tax laws and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop practical, creative solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supported by strong interpersonal abilities.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance.
Active CPA license (Puerto Rico jurisdiction preferred).

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
