We are the largest provider of affordable housing in San Bernardino County and proudly assist approximately 26,000 people. The Housing Authority is a separate legal entity from the County of San Bernardino with approximately 145 employees. Job Information
Position starting pay: $85,857/annually. The initial review of applications will begin starting June 8th, 2026 . Applications received before the initial review date will be considered, with qualifying applicants being eligible to participate in the phone screen process.

Position Summary
Under general direction coordinates the activities and operations of multiple housing communities. Oversees day to day operations of assigned properties, including customer relations, eligibility, re-certifications, lease compliance and office management. Supports property and building maintenance programs in the assigned service area, and coordinates assigned activities with other Housing Authority programs, outside agencies, and the general public.
Day-to-Day Glimpse: The day typically includes supporting staff, interacting with residents, coordinating maintenance work, conducting property inspections, and managing lease-up, eligibility, and rent-related processes. The property manager will handle resident concerns, issue required notices, prepare reports, and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep units and grounds inspection-ready. Budget preparation, review, and monitoring, invoice approvals, and participation in resident or community meetings will be part of the weekly rhythm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of leadership, community engagement, problem-solving, and hands-on property oversight.
High School diploma or equivalent supplemented by college-level course work in real estate management, property management, public/business administration, social science or related field; Associates degree preferred; 5+ yrs experience in a housing environment, preferably affordable housing; supervisory experience required. Must have valid CA driver's license and be insurable at standard rates with the Housing Authority's vehicle insurance carrier on a continuing basis. Bilingual preferred.
