Kitchen Manager

Freeport Oyster Bar is a full-service casual community restaurant that provides exceptional food and service to the people of Freeport, ME. We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join our team in Freeport, ME. We have a small menu and focus mostly on cold raw items. We are primarily an oyster bar, but have some capabilities of producing different menu options. We are a small team of talented hardworking professionals in need of someone to take on managerial tasks for the kitchen portion of our business.

Position Summary:

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all culinary functions of the restaurant, from planning and production to serving and maintaining. This individual will oversee the development and implementation of all food menus, as well as maintain cleanliness and quality standards in the kitchen. This position requires a keen eye for quality, as well as the ability to problem-solve and work with a team in order to solve problems collaboratively.

Key Accountabilities:
·Oversight of all culinary functions of the kitchen including , purchasing, sanitation, equipment maintenance and food safety.
·Keeping up to date order guides and prep lists to compliment menu changes and updates.
·Conducting regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
·Monitoring inventory levels to ensure supplies are on hand on short notice.
·Keeping detailed records of all culinary activities.
·Adhering to Freeport Oyster Bar's health and safety policies and procedures.
·Serving as a positive example in the workplace for employees under your charge. Collaboration with other managers and communication to keep business running smoothly.

·A creative mind with ability to come up with innovative solutions.
·Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members both inside and outside the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
