Overview

NYC-based plastic surgeon seeks capable and reliable self-starter to join practice as a Part-Time Medical Office Assistant with the potential to grow into Full Time If you are personable, organized, and have strong communication skills!

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to manage projects and day to day operations of the practice with minimal direction. They take the initiative to solve problems and create solutions both on their own and in collaboration with others.

We are eager to find someone who can commit to a weekly, set, part-time schedule. This would be approximately 32 hours per week and must include Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9am- 5pm ).

Responsibilities include: Front Desk/Medical Assistant Duties

● Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth.

● Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.

● Engage with prospective patients through our web-based platform and expand our patient base.

● Handle patient intake, maintain records, and process payments.

● Ensure a smooth and organized front desk experience.

● Check inventory and order supplies or alert to low-stock items

● Assist the physician in exam rooms, provide supplies, and transcribe information to patient charts.

● Assist social media coordinator with taking photos and videos, as requested and warranted.

● Provide general office support for all facets of the practice.

● Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

● Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

● Professional demeanor with a friendly and welcoming attitude.

● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

● Comfort entering patient exam rooms and working with patients.

● Prior experience as a medical assistant or at a medical front desk preferred.

Hours: Part-time, 32 hours per week

$18-$22/hr: salary commensurate with experience

We are looking for a reliable team member who can commit to a regular weekly schedule. Must be available to work at least Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9am-5pm.
