We conduct clinical research studies that help make groundbreaking medicine accessible so that people everywhere can benefit. Gadolin is affiliated with some of the area's best physicians; from family practitioners to specialists, we have a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Position Summary

Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to independently execute laboratory operations.

All applicants MUST have a phlebotomy certification to be considered.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Perform venipuncture in adult and pediatric patients ranging in age from children to geriatric patients
Obtain & process biological samples such as urine, sputum, tissue, cell culture etc.,
Follow written instruction on the processing of samples for shipment and then ship per biohazard regulation
Inventory of lab supplies and lab kits
Ordering of lab supplies from vendors
Assisting nurses or other qualified personnel in obtaining vital signs and clinical triage
Answer telephone calls via phone and web and maintain organized records
Ensure that the supply room is organized and stocked
Sanitize patient rooms as needed
Assist research coordinators with visit and procedures.
Have a positive and professional attitude in person and over the phone
Have strong written and verbal communication skills - job requires frequent email communication with clients and management.
Ensures adherence to lab standards and practices to maximize safety and operational effectiveness
Be willing and able to work some weekends, although that would be rare

Qualifications:

Ability to read and comprehend laboratory manuals and shipping processes
Minimum of 1 year ofphlebotomy experience
Experience in specimen processing
Ability to perform vital signs
Ability to multitask and learn new medical procedures (EKGs, visual acuity etc.,)
Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime, however a steady 8-5 schedule with one hour for lunch is the norm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
