Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented First Class Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining precision machining equipment to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision and quality.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing G-code, M-code, CAM programming software, and CNC programming techniques to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools for quality control purposes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols involving hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling.
Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and support lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a First Class Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency in CNC G-code programming, CNC lathe and milling machine operation, and CAM software such as SolidWorks or CAD systems.
Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, GD&T standards, and measurement techniques.
Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and grinding operations is highly desirable.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately.
Ability to work with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
Experience operating CNC machines such as Fanuc controls along with hand tools and power tools required for machining tasks.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining environments including forklift operation when necessary.
